How to clean tarnished silver bars. The amount of water you need will depend on the size of the silver bar or the number of coins you need to clean but 500 600ml should suffice in most cases. After the time is up take out the silver rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with paper towel or soft cloth. The reaction of the warm water baking soda and aluminum foil will allow the tarnished silver to clean beautifully. If your silver jewellery got mat and tarnished soak it in a plastic bowl filled with lemon lime soda. Squirt a small amount on a paper towel and rub gently over the tarnished areas.
